OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma City Spark is thrilled to announce the hiring of Travis Danley as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Danley brings a wealth of experience and passion to the organization, making him a valuable addition to the team.
Travis Danley was born and raised in Norman, where his passion for fitness and training began. Throughout his two-decade career, Danley has dedicated himself to improving his skills as a versatile and knowledgeable trainer. As a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve, he embodies the values of discipline, dedication, and service in his military role and his commitment to empowering individuals through fitness and coaching. His steadfast commitment to both his military service and his passion for training underscores his exceptional work ethic and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around him.
Travis's coaching journey began in his hometown, where he coached the Norman High/Norman North and Sooner Swim club teams from 2000 to 2006 and the Norman High JV basketball team during the 2005-2006 season. With certifications from the International Sports Sciences Association in personal training, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and corrective exercise specialization, Danley possesses a comprehensive skill set to tailor fitness programs to individual needs. For 20 years, Travis has dedicated himself to training individuals across a broad spectrum, from young athletes to collegiate competitors, from civilians of all ages to soldiers serving in the United States Army. His expertise spans various sports, strength, endurance training, and overall fitness development. Travis is a dedicated fitness professional passionate about helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Travis finds joy in spending time with his family and engaging in physically demanding workouts. A lover of the outdoors and mountains, he enjoys hiking, rucking, honing his skills with a bow, and quality time with his sweet dog, Remi.
