Oklahoma City --- Effective immediately, the Oklahoma City Spark has officially named an assistant general manager.
Jim Gasso has over 35 years of experience in athletics administration, coaching, and sports business development, with 28 of those years in Oklahoma. Gasso has served as an athletic director and director of operations during his tenure as well. Jim is the owner of a multi-sport training facility in the metro area which has been in operation for over 12 years. Gasso will bring his vast knowledge of athletic coaching and operations to the OKC Spark for their inaugural season.
“I am so fortunate to be given this opportunity to create history with Tina and Robert Floyd and the OKC Spark. Growing the sport of softball is a passion of mine, and there is no better place than OKC to propel the sport. I am excited to be a part of an organization that exemplifies excellence, work ethic, teamwork, faith, character, diversity, and a work environment that will foster good will. I look forward to working alongside Coach Flores in building a competitive community-based team. I am ready to get after it, and let’s go SPARK!” said Gasso.
“Gasso offers an invaluable amount of knowledge to the OKC Spark. As general manager, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with and learn from him. He has been involved in many athletic operations, and his opinion is treasured. Jim’s involvement with the team is crucial in moving this organization forward and I cannot wait to see where his leadership will take the Spark.” said Tina Floyd, Spark Team Owner/General Manager.
The Oklahoma City Spark’s inaugural season will launch in June 2023.
