Spark Signs Liberty Standout KK Madrey

Oklahoma City, OK — The Oklahoma City Spark proudly announces the signing of dynamic outfielder KK Madrey from Liberty University. Madrey's exceptional performance during the 2025 season played a pivotal role in Liberty's historic upset over No. 1 seed Texas A&M in the NCAA Tournament and their first-ever advancement to the Super Regionals.

Madrey started all 64 games in center field for the Lady Flames, leading the team with a .409 batting average, 76 hits, and 50 stolen bases—ranking among the top base stealers nationally. She also contributed 30 RBIs and scored 58 runs, boasting a .505 on-base percentage and a .459 slugging percentage. In 2024, her defense was highlighted by four plays featured on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10, including a standout catch in the NCAA Athens Regional.

In Liberty's stunning 6–5 victory over top-seeded Texas A&M, Madrey delivered a crucial two-run home run, igniting a five-run sixth inning that propelled the Flames to their first Super Regional appearance. Her outstanding season earned her NFCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors and a spot on the Conference USA All-Conference First Team.

"KK's speed, defensive excellence, and clutch hitting make her an invaluable addition to our roster," said Head Coach Amber Flores. "Her proven ability to perform under pressure aligns perfectly with our team's competitive spirit."

Madrey, a Newnan, Georgia native, transferred to Liberty from LSU and quickly became a cornerstone of the program, helping the Lady Flames achieve a program-best 50–15 record in 2025. The OKC Spark looks forward to the energy and talent Madrey brings as they prepare for the upcoming season.
