Game 1: Sunday, June 15

Oklahoma City Spark Earn Walk-Off Win Over New York Rise


The Spark took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 2-1 walk-off victory over New York Rise at Oklahoma Christian University. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when Alyssa Brito drew a walk, scoring one run.


Amber Fiser earned the win for the Spark in the circle. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking three. Allie Light took the loss for the New York Rise. The right-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out one and walking two. Courtney Wyche stepped in the circle first for the Rise. The hurler gave up three hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking four.


Sydney Sherrill, the Spark's number eight hitter, led the lineup going 2-3. Alyssa Brito and Rylie Boone each drove in one run, while Jocelyn Alo had three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game.


Game 2: Monday, June 16

Spark Defeat New York Rise On Multiple Hit Performance By Kinzie Hansen


Kinzie Hansen collected three hits in three at bats, as the Oklahoma City Spark defeated the New York Rise 9-0 on Monday at Oklahoma Christian University. Hansen hit a solo home run to center field in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.


The Spark opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two home runs. The first runs on the board came off the bat of a Jocelyn Alo home run to left field, scoring three runs. A sacrifice fly by Alyssa Brito extended the Spark lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the second inning.


The Spark added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Sydney Sherrill hit a sacrifice fly, and Rachel Becker singled to center field, each scoring one run. Haley Lee homered to center field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth.


Megan Golden earned the win in the circle for the Spark. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out one and walking none. Laurin Krings took the loss for the New York Rise; she went four innings, surrendering five runs on seven hits, striking out none and walking one.


Alo drove the middle of the lineup, leading Spark with three runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Becker collected two hits for the Spark in two at bats while also turning a double play in the field.


Game 3: Tuesday, June 17

Haley Lee Drives 4 Runners Home In Spark Victory Over New York Rise


Haley Lee drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Oklahoma City Spark past New York Rise 7-6 on Tuesday at Oklahoma Christian University. Lee hit a home run to left field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring one. The Spark came from behind to win after trailing 6-2 in the third inning. The New York Rise were the first to get on the board in the first when Courtney Day homered to left field, scoring three runs.


The Rise added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Alex Brown grounded out, and Lauren Lucas singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. The Rise added one run in the third via a Sami Williams single to center field, making the score 6-2.


The Spark responded by scoring three runs in the bottom of the third on a home run to left field by Lee. Kinzie Hansen grounded out, but advanced the runner, which helped the Spark tie the game at six in the bottom of the fifth. A single by Jayda Coleman gave the Spark the lead, 7-6, in the bottom of the sixth.

Courtney Wyche took the loss for the New York Rise. The reliever went two innings, giving up two runs on three hits, striking out one and walking one. Terin Ritz made her pro debut and started in the circle for the Spark. She surrendered three hits and five runs (three earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking two. Allie Light started in the circle for the New York Rise; she surrendered six hits and five runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Amber Fiser collected the save.


Game 4: Wednesday, June 18

Spark Offense Explodes In 9-Run Inning During Win Over New York Rise


Haley Lee drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Oklahoma City Spark past the New York Rise 12-4 on Wednesday at Oklahoma Christian University. Lee hit a home run to left field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring one.


The Spark scored nine runs in the third inning on the way to victory. Lee homered to left field, scoring three runs, Jayda Coleman singled, scoring one run, Jocelyn Alo singled, scoring one run, and Kinzie Hansen singled up the middle, which turned into an inside-the-park grand slam. The Rise opened the scoring in the first after Courtney Day homered to left field, scoring two runs. The Spark responded in the bottom of the first thanks to a sacrifice fly by Alo, and a single by Lee.


Amber Fiser earned the win in the circle for the Spark. The starter allowed seven hits and four runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one. OKC amassed 12 hits in the game, with Hansen leading the team with three hits in four at bats. Alyssa Brito went 2-3, and Coleman had a game-high two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.


The Spark are back in action tomorrow for Spark The City Weekend! On Friday, the Spark will host a Home Run Derby at Oklahoma Christian University. Witness the best hitters in the world go head-to-head and showcase their power! The team will also recognize Native American Heritage Night and free Chevy cups will be given to the first fans in attendance!

On Saturday, the Spark will hold a Celebrity Game to benefit Ground Zero Emergency Training Center, Police Athletic League, and Emerge Strongher. Celebrities will team up with Spark athletes in a 4-inning slowpitch game, then attempt to hit off of Spark pitchers! Featured celebrities include Barry Switzer (OU Football) , Lane Johnson (Philadelphia Eagles), Vanessa Shippy-Fletcher (OSU Softball), Cale Gundy (OU Football), Trey Millard (OU Football), and Dimitri Flowers (OU Football). The team will also recognize Taylor Swift Night and free pom poms will be given to the first fans in attendance.

This will be the last chance to see the Spark at home until July 20, so get your tickets and don't miss it!
